Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia has been named the Honorary Consul of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal to Uganda.
His Excellency Dr Sudhir Ruparelia was officially approved as Honorary Counsel of Republic of Nepal today.
“Thank you the Ambassador HE Jhabindra Aryal and Government of Nepal on the Great Honor to Serve the Nepali community in Uganda,” Dr. Sudhir said.
A self-made billionaire and philanthropist, Dr Sudhir, is the founder and Chairman of the Ruparelia Group, a 28-company conglomerate invested in financial services, real estate, education, hospitality, agriculture and media. The group is a major investor and taxpayer and directly employs over, 8,000 employees, the majority of whom are women.
A recipient of the Golden Jubilee Presidential Medal by His Excellency President Yoweri Museveni, he has also been recognised by Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) as a top and compliant taxpayer.
Dr. Sudhir was in 2018 appointed by the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) as an honorary wildlife ambassador, in recognition of his support to wildlife conservation efforts.
Forbes Magazine in 2014, recognized him as the 24th Wealthiest Person in Africa.
