The Minister of ICT and National Guidance Hon. Frank Tumwebaze has said he doesn’t block innocent people on twitter who seek information from him. Answering a question from a concerned citizen on why he blocks people on Twitter, Frank said he block insult vendors but not information seekers.
“I block insult vendors. I devote time on these platforms not because I am idle, but because I value engagement and contestation of ideas. I also try to inform those that want to learn. I have no time for those who insult as a result of their inability to comprehend issues or sustain arguments,” Frank said.
