“I was honored today to join my fellow Members of Parliament serving on the Parliamentary Committee of Government Assurance and Implementation, led by Hon. Francis Zaake, we conducted an oversight visit to Dokolo District.
The Committee visited Amondo Bridge to assess the progress of the Government’s commitment towards its construction, a vital infrastructure project expected to improve connectivity, facilitate trade, and enhance access to essential services for the people of Dokolo District.

I express my concern over the slow progress of Amondo Bridge, noting that the project was promised by Government in 2018 with a budget of UGX 7 billion, yet only about 5% of the work has been completed.
I call upon the Ministry of Works and Transport to fulfill its commitment by ensuring adequate funding and the timely implementation of the Amondo Bridge project for the benefit of the people of Dokolo District,” Hon. Katusiime Jovia Mbabazi said.
