The Bishop of the Diocese of Kigezi, Rt. Rev. Gaddie Akanjuna, has confirmed 37 Christians into the Anglican faith at St. Mark’s Ryabirengye Church of Uganda.
The confirmation service was held last Sunday following the church’s elevation to Parish status in Ryabirengye, Bukinda Sub county, Rukiga District.
Hon. Roland Ndyomugyenyi Bishi, Chairman of the Organizing Committee who organized the Thanksgiving function for the completion of the church, said the elevation and confirmation mark a new chapter for the congregation and the wider community.
Many government digitalies are present including Hon Dr. Sylvia Alinaitwe Rukiga District woman MP, Kabale LC5 chairman Denis Nzeirwe who is represented Minister David Bahati, local leadership among others.
Hon. Roland Ndyomugyenyi Bish, the former Member of Parliament for Rukiga County in the 11th Parliament organized the function which also acted a fundraising drive to complete the church construction. Millions of money were raised the said cause.
