Beyond academic support, KCB Bank Uganda demonstrated its dedication to a sustainable future by planting trees within the school grounds. This initiative is part of the bank’s broader ESG commitment to plant over 15,000 trees across Uganda by December 2025.
Judy Wambaire, Head of Legal and Company Secretary at KCB Bank Uganda, expressed her enthusiasm for the initiative. “As our bank’s promise states, For People for Better, at KCB Bank, we believe in investing in the future, and that future begins with our children and a healthy planet,” said Wambaire. “Our visit to St. Jude Primary School today shows our ongoing commitment to empowering young minds through education and nurturing a sustainable environment for generations to come. It’s incredibly rewarding to see the joy on the children’s faces and know that we are contributing to their growth and the well-being of our community.”

Mulyabintu Francis, the Deputy Headteacher of St. Jude Primary School, extended his heartfelt gratitude to KCB Bank Uganda. “We are incredibly grateful to KCB Bank Uganda for their generous support,” said Mulyabintu. “The scholastic materials and reading resources will surely make a significant difference in our students’ learning journey. Furthermore, the tree planting initiative instils a vital sense of environmental responsibility in our pupils and contributes to a greener, healthier school environment. This partnership is truly invaluable to St. Jude Primary School.”

This impactful visit emphasizes KCB Bank Uganda’s dedication to being a responsible corporate citizen, actively contributing to the educational advancement and environmental sustainability of the communities it serves.
