The contractor Sogea Satom is laying the final 1km (DN700 between Ntinda and Bukoto) of the transmission main, which shall be completed by December 2020.

Transmission main composition
DN1400-38.5km (Nsumba to Ssonde)
DN700 – 9.5 km (Namugongo to Naguru)
DN600 (Tee-Off to Seeta Tank) – 2.1 km
DN500 (Tee-Off to Mukono Tank) – 0.8 km

The Katosi Water Project upon completion will significantly bridge the water supply gaps in the Kampala metropolitan service area.
