The Minister of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF) who also doubles as the NRM flagbearer for Kibale East County in Kamwenge District MP seat 2026, Hon. Frank Tumwebaze, has called on NTV Uganda to have fairness and balance in their coverage of 2026 General elections through their live political Talk shows.
Sharing on his X platform, Hon. Tumwebaze expressed his disappointment with NTV Uganda for what he described as unfair coverage. He urged them to host all representatives of all parties so that they all share their views equally but not majoring only on representatives from the National Unity Platform (NUP) alone.
“But Honestly my dear friends at NTV Uganda as your former pioneer panelist of fourth estate many years back, I feel disappointed with you . You can’t be that glaringly partisan all the time . When you host the campaigners of NUP why don’t you also host NRM to hear the other side? It’s clear you have a candidate you are supporting and bidding for. Don’t regurgitate narratives of one party without a chance to others in the contest to rebut,” Hon. Frank Tumwebaze shared.
