2026 Updates: Bugembe Abubakar is the hope for Mawokota North as he eyes parliamentary seat

Mawokota North Constituency in Mpigi District MP hopeful Mr. Bugembe Abubakar has revealed his vision for the area once he is elected Member of Parliament (MP) from 2026-2031.

Mr. Bugembe Abubakar describes himself as a God fearing man and a visionary leader who wants nothing but to transform Mawokota North Constituency into a model constituency. He is a fact driven and a pragmatist.

He plans to stablish Mawokota Education Fund for children from low income earning families at all levels from primary to university both local and international.

On the issue of health, he wants to lobby to ensure that Mpigi Health Centre IV and Muduma Heath Centre II are elevated to hospital and health centre IV respectively. He also wants to ensure that all health facilities in the constituency are equipped with the necessary materials to full capacity.

He wants to lobby for the tarmacking of all major roads and grading of all access roads as well as the construction of Mpigi central market to a modern standard as well as improving Muduma market and Kamengo.

He has plans for the youth too and wants to extend support to Mpigi United FC, sports academics to nature upcoming talents, start youth empowerment centers within the constituency.

He will also set up a team of lawyers who shall always offer free services to those facing land evictions, and also give guidance to people with starting business on tax issues to mitigate over taxation.

He wants to stand with all affected individuals in order to fight for justice and put an end to corruption practices at the constituency level as well as at National.
