The Member of Parliament for Ruhinda North in Mitooma district who also doubles as the Deputy Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa in the company of his wife Rukundo, was this week successfully nominated as the NRM Party candidate for Ruhinda North Constituency member of Parliament seat.
“I have friends whom I will be competing with in these primaries and we look forward to an exciting race. We shall exchange ideas and learn from each other. We are committed to a peaceful campaign that follows the rules of our party,” Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa said.
The Deputy Speaker was nominated alongside the Mitooma District Woman MP Hon. Agasha Juliet B and the District Chairman (LCV), Mr. Benon Karyeija. He said their joint nomination underscores the importance of unity.
“We look forward to earning voters’ mandate so that we can continue working together for the betterment of our district. I want to thank my nominators Dr. Tanga Odoi and his team for the smooth way they are running this exercise,” Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa added.
