Watoto Church is taking major steps to ensure safety and smooth movement for everyone attending the 2025 Christmas Cantata.
With thousands expected to attend, the church has partnered with the Uganda
Police and other security organs to manage security, traffic, and public order.
The Christmas Cantata kicks off on 17th December 2025 with the City’s Night
Carols and the lighting of the tallest Christmas tree in Uganda, followed by the
Son of God Production from 19th to 22nd December 2025.

The church is committed to making this season not only festive but also safe and well-
organised for all participants.
Today, during the press briefing, Watoto Church emphasised that the safety,
comfort, and convenience of all attendees are their top priority.

This year, the events will be held at Old Kampala Senior Secondary School, a venue chosen for its space and accessibility. To support this effort, Watoto Church has
partnered with key stakeholders that will help ensure smooth security, traffic
flow and transportation throughout the entire period of the Christmas Cantata.

Speaking during the briefing, Pastor Julius Rwotlonyo, Senior Pastor and Team
Leader at Watoto Church Ministries, said,
“We desire to create a safe and joyful experience for every person who attends this year’s Cantata. With strong support from the Uganda Police and other city authorities, we are confident that everyone will enjoy attending Christmas Cantata with peace and ease.”
The Uganda Police welcomed the partnership and reassured the public of their
readiness.

Their support will include patrol teams, traffic officers, crowd-
control personnel, and emergency response units. Luke Oweyesigyire, Public
Relations Officer, Kampala Metropolitan Police Area,

guide traffic and support the public wherever needed.”

To further enhance convenient movements, Watoto Church has also partnered
with SafeBoda, one of Uganda’s leading mobility companies.
SafeBoda will play a key role in helping people move safely and affordably to and from the venue during the Cantata. In addition, SafeBoda will offer a special discount to all
riders traveling to and from Old Kampala Senior Secondary School between
17th to 22nd December.
