Unveiling Shallon Bianca, The New Music Kid On The Block Who Quit Banking To Pursue Her Childhood Dream Of Singing

Shallon Muhumuza known by her stage name Shallon Bianca is an upcoming singer who has dedicated her heart to sing out love inspiration songs and gospel. Showbiz Uganda tracked her down to talk about her music and life. Read on

SB: Who is Shallon?

Shallon: I am known as Shallon Muhumuza stage name Shallon Bianca. I am a former banker who worked with Equity bank as a senior credit administrator in early 2000s. I am a mukiga from Muyebe, Kabale born on 22nd December 1984 in Kabale to late Jackson Kanyankyiko. I studied from Muyebe PS, Hornby High School Girls, Kabale for O’Level, Buloba High school for A’level before I went Makerere University where I did bachelor’s degree in economics. And am Married to Andrew Muhumaza and we are blessed with three kids.

SB: Tell us about your Music?

Shallon: Music has been my passion throughout my life, I started singing way back in Primary but professionally I started in 2011. I have three videos so far namely; Ndiwampisa, Gwasanila, Tukyeze Africa. I am currently working on my ‘Runyakitara’ album to be completed by October next year. I sing love inspiration songs and gospel. I consider myself lucky because I sing in different languages like Runyakitara, Kinyarwanda, Luganda, English and Swahili.

SB: Who inspired you?

Shallon: My father because he loved music so much SB: What is your dream musically? Shallon: To see myself as an international artist by doing the game differently. I think in the next five years, I will be very different from today. I want to leave a legacy behind. I want to be a good guitarist and a very professional one. I have performed on several concerts like Bebe’s, Rema, Stecia and many more local singers plus weddings.

SB: Which local singers can u work with?

Shallon: Juliana Kanyomozi and Bebe Cool but preferably Bebe Cool because he is good at the game. SB: What else do you do apart from music? Shallon: I do Interior designing and events management. Basically I do interior decor, compound designing, I give knowledge on how the house should be designed. We are also do events for any party under Andresha Uganda Limited which is also the same company that manages me as an artist. I own it with my husband Andrew Muhumuza.

SB: How do you find life in entertainment?

Shallon: It’s hectic, expensive and a big challenge to get your music played. I wish the upcoming singers are also given opportunities to get their music played and get things moving. We also have challenges with producers who end up changing our music at times which is not good at all?

SB: What do you in your leisure?

Shallon: I listen to music, gym, play golf, go for music lessons then my family. I club twice a month at Guvnor.

SB: What is your message to fellow artistes especially upcoming ones?

Shallon: They should stand strong, dont look back, even the stars were once upcoming. Just persevere and you will make it big.

Shallon: My Family

SB: What should your fans expect?

Shallon: Real music from me, very original and inspiring music. They should also expect my ‘Runyakitara’ album soon. It’s going to be inspiring, great and entertaining.
