Ugandan co-hosts popular Germany Radio Show: A good day in Africa

Ms Rebecca Mweru Kabejja, who is currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Economics, Law and Politics at the University of Leuphana in Lüneburg, Germany, is one of the co-hosts of a popular radio show “A Good Day in Africa” that airs on Radio Zusa.
Ms Kabejja and her Nigerian friend and co-host, Ms Olamide Olayiwola Olabimpe, hit the radio waves on Sunday, 7th July 2019. The show will air on every fourth Sunday at 7:00 p.m. (Central European Time), 6:00 p.m. (West African Time) and 8:00 p.m. (East African Time).
Ms Kabejja is a young Ugandan lawyer who is passionate about Human rights, Afro-feminism, Afro-politics and leadership.
Ms Olamide who is also pursuing a Master’s in Public Economics, Law and Politics at the same University is a Nigerian Feminist who is passionate about African Affairs, Human rights and leadership.
Ms Kabejja, in a phone interview with the Public Diplomacy Desk of the Uganda Embassy said the duo were determined in sharing the African story that has been dismissed and called “un-African.” She added that they use the show to change the negative African narrative and demand for that the true story be told in all environments.
The radio show basically talks about the Africa the world should know. The hosts use it to share powerful stories and the incredible work going on in Africa.
