Truck Drivers Hell! Uganda registers 43 new cases of COVID-19

The Ministry of Health has confirmed 43 new COVID-19 positive cases from 1838 samples of truck drivers at border points of entry.

All 720 samples taken from the community tested negative for COVID-19.

The total number of tests done today are 2558 at Uganda Virus Research Institute (UVRI), The total number of COVID confirmed cases is now 203.

The 43 cases are Elegu:15 Ugandans, 9 Kenyans, 4 Eritreans.

Mutukula: 5 Tanzanians, 1 Burundian.

Malaba:5 Kenyans, 2 Ugandans, 1 Burundian and 1 nationality unknown.

Currently, there are 32 admitted COVID-19 confirmed cases and all are in stable condition. So far, Uganda has registered a total of 63 COVID-19 recoveries.
