Radio presenter and critic Jacob Omutuuze is crediting the Ugandan music industry for generating more income than the other sectors.
He said that the government doesn’t recognize it that much but statically, the music industry is always giving young people jobs and most of them actually live off those jobs for good.
According to Jacob Omutuuze, government needs to recognize the music industry and invest money in it because it feeds off many young people.
“Music is one of the few things in Uganda that generates income because it brings people together. Government needs to be seeing that and investing more money in the industry ,” Jacob Omutuuze.
It should be noted that the government has tried to put some money in the industry through the federation and associations and most of it has just disappeared like that.
