The current continental and global narrative reveals that fashion is a fast rising and profitable industry. As young people continue to embrace unconventional career paths, it is important not to dismiss the arts as a force of social change in this generation. Christ Heart Ministries International just concluded a textile development project funded by the World Bank, under the management of Private Sector Foundation Uganda.
The funding allowed us to experiment with, explore and exercise different basics of design. The exhibition of bodies of work unveiled by the students was filled with bold, creative and powerful ideas. It is our belief that if truly harnessed and supported and not, just financially but with complementary values such as spiritual mentorship and guidance, business savvy attitudes, travel and tour exposure with a lot more; the next brand of leaders is certain contribute to all levels of development; human, socio- economic and political.
