

The 2025 Kagulu Rock Climbing Challenge set for October, Chief climber President M7 to commission new developments at the site
The annual Kagulu Rock Climbing Challenge 2025 is here with a bang, we can confirm. The challenge is set to take place in October at a date yet to be determined. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is expected to be the chief climber and is also set to Commission the developments funded by the government at the rock site in Buyende District.
The President will commission the Statue of the Basoga beloved Omukama Nyamutukura and the Site for the Rock Top Restaurant at the tourism site rock.


The challenge is expected to attract thousands of tourists from across the world. Busoga Tourism Board Chairperson Rt Hon. Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga confirmed these developments.
The event is organized by Busoga Tourism and Heritage Ministry headed by Hon. Hellen Namutamba who confirmed that the date was shifted to October to accommodate chief Guest H.E the President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who couldn’t get time to attend the event that usually happen in August.
On the day there will be cultural exhibition, health camp to check and treat all kinds of diseases, crowning of Miss Tourism Busoga and lots of entertainment from different artists from all over the world.
