Teasing & bullying rocks Nabumali High School in Mbale District as RDC summons an emergency meeting with the school management
The Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Mbale District has summoned the management of Nabumali High School in Mbale District after an unfortunate incident happened at the school premises recently.
Our sources in Mbale say a Senior One student only identified as Jesse was allegedly severely boxed, slapped and beaten by students from Senior 5 and 6. The incident was sparked off after the junior student reported to the House Prefect about the theft of sugar from his box.
The source alleges that the House Prefect instead of using his authority as a leader to find the solution, he instead dragged the victim to his room, locked it with other four friends and they begun to beat the innocent boy.

The district security officers were informed of the matter and went to school but were told to leave issues to the school to handle, while the parents of the boy were asked to take their child for medication.
The culprits are Hajji Abed Abdullah S5, Ali John Pius S5, Maberi Timothy S5, Mwanga Allan S5 and Katenya Jonathan S6.
After learning of similar accidents happening at the same school previously, it is at this point that Mbale District Resident Commissioner Mr. Bayole Stanley and his assistant Mr. Manana Henry summoned the school management to their office today to resolve the matter completely and also.

Whereas teasing and bullying were common incidents among secondary schools in 80 and 90s in the country, the incidents have since totally reduced with almost no cases in most of the schools across the country. Now one wonders why would such an incident be happening at any secondary school in this era of no teasing and bullying as well as beating.
