Taking shape! Nambigirwa Bridge work nears complete

Latest shot of the Nambigirwa Bridge along the Kampala- Entebbe Expressway project shows that the work on the bridge is nearing completion. This is by the way, the longest bridge in East Africa and is approximately 1.5km.

Meanwhile Kampala-Entebbe Expressway is fitted with Anti Glare screens. Their role is to protect road users/motorists in different directions from light interference.

The anti Glare therefore removes the effect of light to ensure no conflict of light thereby safeguarding safety of road users along the Expressway! You don’t find this on the ordinary highway.

In a related development, UNRA has started verification exercise of persons affected by the Kampala Southern Bypass (Kampala-Jinja Expressway). “UNRA is taking a proactive approach to ensure persons within the right of way for the road is secured by the time construction of Jinja – Kampala Expressway starts”.
