According to Patrick Kajuma, the Brand Sales Manager Suzuki at the Cooper Motors Corporation (CMC) Uganda, Vitara is stunning from the inside-out.
“If value is in your DNA, then the new Suzuki Vitara has all that and more embedded in it. Its bold design combines rugged SUV presence with refined 17-inch alloy wheels, sparkling LED daytime running lights, and rear privacy glass to
make it the epitome of sophisticated urban chic,” Kajuma said adding that Suzuki enjoys a great track record for reliability and dependability.
Style and Design

Whether you are heading to office or a trip with friends over the weekend, driving a Vitara is pure pleasure. Elegant lines, subtle curves and chrome contrasts tie together the Vitara’s unique styling while the leather-bound steering wheels integrate audio, handsfree and cruise controls for ultimate ease of driving. The Vitara’s trendy look and value becomes more outstanding when you step inside. The level of standard-kit is nothing short of impressive. To keep you entertained and informed, the new Vitara has a centrally located 7-inch touchscreen which features a voice activated audio, navigation system, smartphone connectivity, cruise control, climate control, and a reversing camera. The reversing camera makes parking easier without one having to twist around in their seat. The cruise control helps one maintain their set speed while the speed limiter function allows one to set a maximum speed for safe driving. There’s a bright two-bar grille on the nose, linking the wide, slim headlights to help make this compact SUV look wider than it actually is. There are silver skid plates on either end, as well as bright LED daytime running lights pushed right up to the corners of the front bumper. The bold lines that extend from the bonnet to the rear add athleticism to this sport utility vehicle.
There’s plenty of head- and shoulder room all round, and it’s easy to enter and exit as well, thanks to those big, square doors and raised roofline.
The luggage compartment is evenly shaped with a minimum capacity of 375 litres, and a large aperture which opens almost down to bumper level. In addition, there’s a false floor, underneath which smaller items can be hidden away, and the rear seats are split 60/40 to offer even greater loading versatility.
Performance
Nothing beats the feeling of freedom and fun that you get from the Vitara, and thanks to Suzuki’s unmatched engine expertise, there’s no trade-off between performance and efficiency.
Boasting a 1.6 VVT or the incredible BoosterJet Turbo, the Vitara offers agile performance in the city, effortless open road cruising, and plenty of off-road muscle. The Vitara offers all the performance and power of an SUV with the
fuel efficiency you’d expect from a compact car. The advanced BoosterJet direct injection turbo petrol engine delivers 20% more power and a massive 40% more torque while still achieving amazing fuel economy.
The beauty of the new Vitara’s body goes more than skin deep. Incorporating Suzuki’s TECT (Total Effective Control Technology) makes the Vitara lighter and safer with crumple zones to absorb and dissipate energy.
Safety and Technology
Driving should never be a risky venture and the Suzuki Vitara is impressive with its safety kit. Fitted with a combination of TECT body design, 7 airbags and a suite of electronic systems including Anti-lock Braking Systems (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution and hill hold control (Auto), the Vitara offers exceptional driver and passenger protection and also sports a 5-star ANCAP safety rating. The Vitara Turbo also comes with Suzuki’s Advanced Forward Detection System. This employs a state-of-the-art monocular camera, laser sensor, and millimeter-wave radar with the aim of aiding the driver to avoid a collision or mitigate the damage. The Advanced Forward Detection System includes, Dual Sensor Brake Support (DSBS), Lane departure warning, Weaving alert and Adaptive cruise control. Vitara Turbo’s monocular camera ‘sees’ mid-to-long distance and can detect pedestrians. It also has a laser sensor for short-distances and at night.
