Stop coming to my place- Gen Salim Saleh chases musicians from Gulu Home
Gen. Salim Saleh has instructed musicians, promoters, and all creatives to refrain from visiting his residence in Gulu. The General, who serves as the coordinator for Operation Wealth Creation, penned a note on a piece of paper conveying this instruction.
It was directed to the president of the Uganda National Musicians Federation, who is also the presidential advisor on the creative sector. Gen. Saleh requested Kenzo to manage all those who had begun to gather at his home for the Christmas celebrations. He mentioned that these individuals are disrupting his work in the area.
“Presidential Advisor @creatives and President Uganda National Musicians Association.
Please handle the musicians who are flocking to Gulu for Xmas festivities shows.
They are interfering with my work in Northern Uganda,” Gen Salim’s note read.
Gen. Salim Saleh has been a notable presence in the entertainment scene for many years, and some artists, including Bebe Cool, Dr. Jose Chameleone, and even Bobi Wine prior to his political career, are his close friends.

His impact on the entertainment industry grew significantly during the COVID-19 lockdown when numerous musicians traveled to Gulu to meet with him. During these meetings, they received substantial financial support, and it was from these interactions that the UNMF was established.
However, many had turned these visits into a means of soliciting financial assistance from him. It appears that he has had enough and has decided to send them away.
