The beauty pageant is aimed at promoting African beauty, unity, talent and heritage in the United Kingdom.
According to Mrz Biggz, an events manager based in London who is among the organizers of the pageant, it gives opportunity to African ladies in United Kingdom to be able to speak about their lives to the different communities in the world, look and feel beautiful inside and out and ultimately reach the goal of inspiring each other.
“This helps them to build their self-esteem, this is seen in the slogan “I am African & proud,” Mrz Biggz adds.
The pageant also looks towards a humble, confident and relatable person. Mrz Biggz says this is because the crowned lady automatically becomes the ambassador of the many African countries and various organizations.
“The crowned Queen will also get the chance to travel to Africa to take part in human capital development projects, experience the heritage of different African countries as the winner last year Deborah owiredu won and went back to her country Ghana Miss Pride Of Africa UK 2015 Queen Deborah owiredu Fulfilled Her Queen Duties At In GHANA Where She Educated Children And Teachers About The Silent Learning Disability Dyslexia and supporting children with dyslexia. This Cause Is Close To Heart For Our Queen As She Personally Suffers From Dyslexia. She visited the ministry of health office and it’s in works for her to become an ambassador to bridge the gap between Ghananian youth in United Kingdom and Ghana.
