Singer Hum Kay spearheads campaign to boost surgical & maternal care
As we usher in the long awaited festive season, to many it is a time of sharing joy with the loved ones.
For singer Hum Kay, his commitment is Philanthropic and he calls upon the general public to invest in humanity by supporting a common cause.
Hum Kay has announced a benefit concert dubbed ‘Christmas From Africa’ by Hum Kay and Friends slated for Saturday 07th December, 2019 5PM-10PM at Nile Village Hotel in Jinja.
The concert is geared towards raising resources and support to construct a more advanced Surgical and Maternal hub at the Hope & Healing Center (HHC) found in Kiwanyi village – Busoga Region.
With this new facility, HHC will be able to provide proffessional and safe care for hundreds of expecting mothers and infants from distant and remote villages in the Eastern Region who until now have to walk or ride miles before they can access such care. This center is already staffed with doctors, nurses, midwives, surgeons and lab technicians but lacks the space to effectively offer these services.
A source from the Celebrated singer’s camp confirmed that it is going to be a night of exciting exhibitions and performances by Hum Kay and Friends.
The singer appeals to fellow musicians, eminent personalities, institutions, brothers, sisters and friends of Busoga to join him on this social responsibility.
Tickets go for 50K UGX, VIP 100K UGX and a table of 8 goes for 1M UGX.
