

Rema scoops first ever MTN Caller Tunez Online award
Songbird Rema Namakula has been announced the first ever MTN Caller tunez online awards winner. The ‘Lean On Me’ star was rewarded with a 2.5 million shillings cheque from MTN today.

During the prize handover ceremony, Rema noted that this is a good initiative for artistes who have been struggling to make revenues off their music. Who is Rema Namakula?
Rema Namakula also known as Rema is a Ugandan female recording artist. She was born in Ntinda, Kampala Uganda and raised by veteran Ugandan female musician Halima Namakula.

She began her music career as a back up artist for a Ugandan musician Bebe Cool in Gagamel crew, however she separated from Bebe Cool in 2013. She began her solo music career in the 2013 with her hot selling single ‘Oli wange’ which was written by Nince Henry. The song put her on map and she has never looked back.
