

Redwomen Foundation Uganda joins Cancer fight war
Redwomen Foundation Uganda, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) based in Entebbe has joined the fight against cancer. Mildred Kiwanuka, the organization’s CEO told Press at Arirang Restaurant yesterday that started in 2013 to reach out to women and children who are vulnerable. Redwomen has been donating to several women and children’s groups ever since its inception and this time, they have joined war to fight cancer.
They will start the fight against cancer by creating awareness so that people get to know how kick it out as well as lowering the risk of getting deadly cancer disease. They are also organizing a dinner to raise money for the cause on 25th August at Cayenne Restaurant and Lounge, Bukoto.
Judith Heard who is the face of the NGO donates to each campaign that takes place with the organization.
“If we don’t change our country, no one will change it for us,” Mildred said.
She released a statement apologizing for the postponed Fight against cancer fundraising dinner which was schedule for Saturday 30th at Arirang.
“Redwomen Foundation of Uganda would like to apologize to the general public, proud sponsors and partners that due to circumstances beyond our control, we have postponed the STRONG AGAINST CANCER FUNDRAISING DINNER which was to take place this weekend, July 30th at Arirang Restaurant. This important event is now scheduled for August 25th at CAYENNE Restaurant. We regret any inconveniences this might cause and want to thank our many sponsors and supporters for standing with us. Our event for the STRONG AGAINST CANCER CAMPAIGN will be bigger and better than ever. Join us and let’s give the gift of hope”.
