President Yoweri Museveni receives election petition papers

Ugandan President elect and NRM Chairman H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has been served with the petition papers by independent candidate John Patrick Mbabazi lawyers following the election petition that was filled at the Supreme Court on Monday.

The president received papers this evening at State House. Mbabazi was distant third in the just concluded presidential elections and is seeking court action claiming that the polls were not free and fair.
