Planned Shutdown at Ggaba Water Works by NWSC

The Management of National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) wishes to inform its esteemed customers and the general public that there will be interruptions in water supply on Friday 26th March, 2021 from 0000hrs (midnight) to 1200hrs (midday).

This is due to planned UMEME upgrade works at the Ggaba substation.

The 12hrs shutdown will affect the following areas;
Areas along Jinja road;
Nakawa, Kireka, Kyambogo Banda, Kyaliwajjala, Namugongo, Kira, Bweyogerere, Seeta, Mukono and the surrounding areas.


Areas along Bombo road; Bwaise, Kawempe, Maganjo, Makerere, Kagoma, Kawanda and Matugga

Parts of Kololo, Kibuli, Muyenga, Namirembe, Nakulabye, Mengo, Nile avenue, Nakasero and the surrounding areas.

Customers are therefore advised to store enough water and use it sparingly in preparation for the shutdown.

N:B It takes time for the system to build up after a total plant shutdown. Please store enough water.
