Pictorial: What you missed at a fairytale destination Wedding of Lubwama Eric Michael & Nantongo Irene Catherine

The couple used the occasion to also celebrate success of their shared Business Empire

The recent wedding of the founder and owner of KUNTA, Lubwama Eric Michael and his lover Nantongo Irene Catherine at Ireland’s Dromoland Castle on 28th of July 2025 wasn’t just a lavish celebration; it was a symbolic union of two extraordinary individuals and the culmination of their shared business journey to success.

The exclusive breathtaking ceremony, was an invite only event attended by strictly close friends and family from across the globe, including Uganda, Germany, United Kingdom, Sweden to mention but a few. It was a week long event where some guests flew in as early as a week before and were treated to touring some of Ireland’s breathtaking attractions including filming sites of major Hollywood films like the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren.

The wedding attracted the attention of Ireland’s national TV RTE that covered it and their story. It is set to be shown on RTE.

The cost of the wedding, while substantial (some rooms at this castle cost over UGX 21,000,000 and a single wedding meal costs around UGX 1,120,000), is dwarfed by the scale of their combined accomplishments. Eric, owner and CEO of both KUNTA Productions and Zoran Construction, is a powerhouse in the entertainment and construction industries.

KUNTA, a leading East African production house and marketing agency operating across four countries and now opening up in Ireland, has produced some of the biggest number of TV shows in the East African Region currently working on some Netflix projects amongst others. KUNTA boasts a client list that reads like a who’s who of global brands: Coca-Cola, MTN, the United Nations, European Union, Unilever Multichoice, Swedish Govt, Uganda Govt and the World Bank, to name a few.

ZORAN Construction’s impressive portfolio includes projects for the American government and EY (Ernest & Young), showcasing its expertise and reach. With over 537 professionals under Eric’s leadership, these companies represent a thriving ecosystem of creativity and construction excellence.

Irene, a highly accomplished Engineer originally from Uganda, brings her own impressive expertise to their partnership. She has 3 engineering degrees in Energy and Chemical Engineering currently working as an Engineer in Dublin Ireland at the Ireland National Electricity Generation and Trading called ESB as an Engineer and innovation specialist. Her professional achievements complement Eric’s entrepreneurial endeavors, creating a synergy that fuels his success. Their combined influence is felt across the two continents, with their primary residence now in Ireland, reflecting their global reach.

The upcoming launch of NYOTA BIGI, a Tanzania-based talent search similar to the Got Talent franchise, in partnership with Vodacom Telecom (Vodafone) & Diageo’s Serengeti Breweries further highlights Eric’s commitment to nurturing talent and expanding KUNTA’s influence across Africa. This follows the phenomenal success of YOLESA EKITONE, a Ugandan TV show that became a viral sensation.

Their choice of Dromoland Castle in Ireland, is a similar concept favored by celebrities like David Beckham, Rory McIlroy, and Shane Filan, underscores their status and the magnitude of their combined achievements. The wedding, however, is more than just a celebration of individual success; it’s a testament to their enduring love and partnership. Their relationship, culminating in this fairytale wedding, is a testament to their shared values and mutual support. The story of Eric and Irene is a powerful narrative of ambition, collaboration, and enduring love, a tale that transcends borders and inspires.
