Nxt Radio go veterans as Karitas joins Marcus on the “Morning Zoo”

Celebrated media personality Karitas Karisimbi, just recently embroiled in an on-air fight with co-host Ronnie McVex, was this week switched from the station’s evening drive show, “The Transit,” to the breakfast one, “The Morning Zoo” on Nxt Radio, joining the famed Marcus Kwikiriza.

Marcus has previously been co-hosting the show with Qitui, who we understand is away on maternity leave.

Karitas had been hosting “The Transit” since 2018 when Nxt Radio was launched, and despite what appeared like resolving their issues with McVex just last week, it appears that the station has now moved to give listeners what they asked for when they called for her to instead keep working on the breakfast show, which she had moved to temporarily co-host for the period of the misunderstanding.

How good of a choice this is for Nxt Radio remains to be seen, but going by the early feedback from their first shows as official co-hosts of the “Morning Zoo,” including a Friday edition done live from Mestil Hotel, Karitas and Marcus promises to be a hit.

The pair’s spontaneity and chemistry were there for all to see or hear (seeing as the station prides itself in being Uganda’s first-ever audio-visual radio station), with some online, including now former co-host Ronnie McVex, describing them as a dynamic duo.

The weekend “Nxt Top 20 Countdown” host, Anne-Marie, now joins Smart Ayokyayokya and Ronnie McVex on the “Nxt Transit.”

You can listen to Karitas and Marcus on the “Morning Zoo” every Monday to Friday, 6am to 10am on 106.1FM or on StarTimes Channel 234. You can also stream them LIVE via the Nxt Radio app or through nextradio.co.ug/live.
