NWSC warns of water theft by individuals

National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) has warmed individuals against water theft. The Corporation said it loses billions of shillings a year in water theft.
“Theft of water by tampering with or bypassing water meters not only costs National Water and  Sewerage Corporation billions of shillings a year, but also imposes costs on each and every paying customer. Water theft is a serious offense and can result in significant fines as well as criminal prosecution by NWSC. #StopWaterTheft,”.
Meanwhile the new Ggaba water works complex control room has been automated.
“We have automated the entire plant. We have also installed CCTV cameras to monitor the entire facility, intake and a few kms into the lake. The entire plant is controlled from this control room. Smart Engineering Solutions for better service delivery,” NWSC posted.
