NWSC explains reasons for water supply interruptions in Arua Area

National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) has informed its valued customers in Arua that the area is currently experiencing a water supply interruption caused by:

1. Low water levels at River Enyau
2. Pipe cuts resulting from ongoing road grading works across the city.

Current Actions:
We are maximizing output from all available motorized boreholes to serve our people in the interim.

Pipe reinstatement works are ongoing to restore normal supply as quickly as possible.

Affected Areas:
Ociba, Oduluba, Pajulu, Onzuvu, Yigatia, Odia, Euata, Komite, Kasua, Ajono, Kumara Village, Chogoloya, Ambala, Ajia, Kuluva, Ocoko, Arivu, Bondo, Rhino Camp Road, Jiako Yia, Ombeteni, and all surrounding areas.

They are making every effort to restore water supply at the earliest possible time.

NWSC sincerely regret the inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding and patience.

 

In related development, NWSC is also handling water interruptions in Entebbe and Mityana as explained below;

Notice Of Water Supply Interruption– Entebbe Area.

Dear Valued Customers,

Please be informed that one of the main High Lift Pumps at Entebbe Water Works has developed a mechanical fault.

This has affected normal water production and supply schedules along Entebbe Road.

A team of specialist engineers is working diligently to complete the repairs and restore full water supply in the shortest time possible.

Affected Areas:
Parts of Entebbe Town, Nsamizi, Uring Crescent, CAA Flats, Busambaga, Katabi,Kigungu, Kitooro, Lunyo, Abaita, Ababiri, Kasenyi, Mpala, Kitala, Garuga Rd, Nakawuka Rd and surrounding areas.

We sincerely regret the inconvenience this temporary disruption has caused.

We kindly urge all affected customers to use available water sparingly while we work to restore normal supply.

Water Supply Interruption in Mityana Area.

Dear Valued Customers,

We wish to inform you that we are experiencing power supply challenges at our water treatment facility in Nakatongole.

This has temporarily affected water production and supply across Mityana Municipality.

We are working closely with UEDCL to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Normal water supply is expected to resume immediately once power is restored.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience and understanding.
