Ndejje University to produce LED lights

Ndejje University has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Chinese Chongqing Han-yue Technology Development Company in innovation, Research to produce LED lights and related accessories.

The signing held at the office of the Vice President Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi also included a memorandum of understanding to establishment Friendship Cooperation between the two entities.

A similar agreement was also signed between MUMU Great Wall Uganda to Market the LED products that will be produced by Ndejje University for its sustainability.

Ndejje University Vice Chancellor Prof.  Eriab Lugujjo, singed on behalf the University while the President of Chongqing Han-yue Technology Development, Prof. Yue Ren signed on behalf of the Chinese Company.

Initially, raw materials for the production of the lights will be sourced from outside but later will be extracted locally to feed the production line which will provide employment and expertise to the University graduates and the neighbouring community.
