NBS TV shows Intent to Lead in 2021 General Elections Broadcast
NBS Television has once again demonstrated its media prominence by showing their intentions as far as the 2021 general elections coverage goes, this right after dominating COVID-19 coverage in the country.
Just as they did with COVID-19, the station, as part of their innovations around their Political Command Center, will starting Monday, June 29th air election updates weekdays at midday from across the country. There will also be special ‘UG Votes 2021 Updates” at 4:30pm, as well as an extended “Live@9” bulletin starting at 8:30pm.
While speaking at the ‘NBS Political Command Center’ launch, Joseph Kigozi, the Chief Strategy Officer at Next Media Services said, “Our viewers, you already know how much we value you and it won’t be any less with this. We are going to, just like we did with our COVID-19 coverage, adjust our programming to ensure you’re well updated.”
NBS TV also committed to conducting opinion polls both online and on the ground to ascertain what the opinions of the people are ahead of the General Elections. The entire newsroom, boosted by the return of Joseph Sabiti, will be on hand to deliver these updates on the campaign trail and elections.
The Kamwokya-based TV station already boasts of coverage milestones such as their famed 360-degree coverage of the Pope’s visit to Uganda, the 2016 general elections (which included an 8-hour non-stop live broadcast), among others.
