Mr. Musinguzi Johnson Byarabaha who lost in the recently concluded NRM primaries for Sheema County South MP seat has released an official statement about the polls. In his statement, he decried bribery and fraud that engulfed the polls and called for reforms.
However with that fraud in mind, and the unfair process, he revealed that Team Googoro shall continue to mobilize
masses on how to make the best choice for themselves, their children and grandchildren for a bright future.
Below is his full statement; “Greetings to all our people of Sheema South. We thank you for turning up to vote in the
elections on Thursday. Those that voted in favour of #TeamGoogoro from Murama, Bihanda, Ruhorobero, Irashagye, Bigona, Buzima, Kagorogoro, Rukararwe, Rwenkurijo, Nyakabirizi, Kimondo etc, THANK YOU!
This election provided an opportunity to the people of Sheema South to elect a candidate who had the best plan (Marshal Plan) to develop the area as outlined in our manifesto and during
candidates’ joint campaigns. That candidate was; Musinguzi Johnson Byarabaha of TeamGoogoro.
However, this opportunity was sacrificed in favour of cash bribes that were being given out by camps of other candidates. We have evidence on record which involved buying off our agents on the morning of voting and leaving Team Googoro candidate without representation.
Those bribed to vote did so at the expense of their future that includes their children and great grandchildren. History will absolve us. With that fraud in mind, and the unfair process, TeamGoogoro shall continue to mobilize masses on how to make the best choice for themselves, their children and grandchildren. This process starts NOW and will not end until Sheema South is liberated from the whims of
beyendezas (selfish) that have superintended over the continued backwardness of our area for
