Telecom Giants, MTN Uganda has finally succumbed to the pressure of Ugandans and congratulated Uganda Cranes upon making it to the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) for the first time in 38 years.

MTN Uganda was official sponsor of the national team for some good years in the past but under their tenure, the team didn’t make it to the prestigious tournament but instead made it under the sponsorship of their rival, Airtel Uganda.

After pressure from Ugandans, MTN Uganda has finally come up publically and congratulated their ‘ex’ (Uganda Cranes) wishing them all the best in Gabon 2017.
“Congratulations to the Uganda Cranes. Thank you for flying our flag high. We wish you all the best in Gabon 2017,” MTN Uganda posted.
