Minister Peter Ogwang orders for an investigation into the disappearance of UGX 800m machines
The State Minister for Economic Monitoring in the Office of the President Hon. Peter Ogwang has ordered for an investigation into the mysterious disappearance of carpentery workshop machines worth Shs800m donated to Namasuba Furniture Makers’ SACCO in Makindye-Ssabagabo.
While carry out monitoring exercise , the minister found out that some of the machines donated by State House in 2019 were vandalized and sold off by former leaders.
After this finding, the Minister instructed for an inquiry into what transpired at the workshop.
While inspecting government projects in Makindye Ssabagabo Municipality, the minister also checked on a presidential Youth Skilling Centre in Kigo.
The youth were so excited to host him and gifted him with a locally made necktie.
“They shared with me some of the challenges they face which i am going to forward for solutions #EconomicMonitoring,” the minister said.
