M7 STILL THE BEST!! An insight by Cadre Hanifah Murerwa Karadi

The vision of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) in Uganda is to build a “peaceful, united, democratic, harmonious, industrialized, transformed, and prosperous Uganda within a strong and united Africa.”

PRINCIPLES/ MISSION.
To achieve the vision, it is supported by a set of core principles and missions that guide the party’s policies and actions.

These include:
• Socio-economic transformation: The NRM aims to transform Uganda from a poor, peasant society into a modern, industrialized, and prosperous one. This involves a focus on wealth creation, job creation, and improving the standards of living for all Ugandans.

• Patriotism : Fostering a sense of national unity and prioritizing the interests of Uganda over individual, tribal, or sectarian interests.

• Pan-Africanism: The belief in the importance of a strong and united Africa and working towards the economic and political integration of the continent.

NRM Presidential Candidate for 2026: Yoweri Kaguta Museveni

• Democracy and good governance: Promoting participatory democracy, the rule of law, and good governance.

• Security : Ensuring peace and security for all Ugandans, including their lives and property.

• Infrastructure development: Continuously developing and maintaining socio-economic infrastructure like roads, electricity, and water systems.

• Human capital development: Investing in education, health, and other sectors that improve the quality of life and skills of the population.

The NRM’s vision is often articulated through its manifestos, which outline specific goals and priority areas for each electoral term. For example, the 2021-2026 manifesto’s theme was “Securing Your Future,” with a focus on five key areas:
Creating wealth and jobs.
Delivering education, health, and water.
Ensuring justice and equity.
Protecting life and property.
Achieving economic and political integration.

The NRM government has also stated its long-term commitment to expanding the size of Uganda’s economy to $500 billion by the year 2040, a goal anchored in a ten-fold growth strategy.”

IMPLEMENTATION
In nrm, we believe in steady progress and in the saying that ROME was not built in one day. Mzee is steadily driving us the best, lets settle for best. Mzee still the best 2026.
Wish you a happy and very successful nomination day of our Champion in protecting the gains so far achieved.
