Kira Municipality hails St Patrick PS for the good work, pledges more support to the school

Kira Municipal Education Officer, Mr. Micheal Ssenkusu has hailed St. Patrick Primary School in Kira for priotising educating children of the nation.
The officer was speaking as the Guest of Honour during celebrations by the school to mark St Patrick’s Day yesterday Thursday 17th March at the school’s campus in Kitikifumba, Mulawa Kira.

He thanked the school’s Directors Mr and Mrs Serugo for choosing to invest in education.
He also hailed them for their determination to invest in education and for not abandoning sector amidst COVID-19 pandemic which locked out education sector for two years.

“Many schools were turned into shops, hotels, lodges and rentals but for you, you persisted and here we are. I thank you for that,” Ssenkusu said.
The officer also hailed the school’s acting Head teacher Mr Robert Mathias Kamoga together with the teachers and non teaching stuff for the good work they are doing.
He advised them to continue with that team work.
On the parents, Mr. Michael thanked them for choosing and entrusting St Patrick Primary School with their children.
“During COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, we got to know that the safest place where learners can be is school because in the last two years, we have experienced the high rate of teenage pregnancies in the country ever,” Michael said.
He as said as the municipality, they  pledge more support to the school and thanked St Patrick PS once again for adhering to the standards set by the ministry of education.
Mr. Patrick Serugo and his wife, the school owners  were full of praises to their school staffs and parents for trusting to work with them.
They promised to continue working together to see the school develop into one of the best in the region and in the country.
Rhoda Julie Serugo tasked her co-director husband to consider introducing home economics at the school.
She appreciated teachers and non teaching staff for the good work at the school.
Pupils from Baby Class to P.7 entertained their parents and other guests throughout the day and they exhibited amazing talents. The school also used the occasion to swear in the new school prefects for 2022-2023.
As part of it’s co-curricular activities, the school has a Basketball Court of an international standard, Football pitch and Swimming pool.
