The annual Kids of Africa Run for Fun 2017 is set to take place on 15th October. This was revealed yesterday at a Press Conference held at Kampala Sheraton Hotel.

The ‘Run For Fun’ is aimed at raising funds for the provision of safe drinking water through construction of boreholes to the community, and to celebrate their 11th anniversary. This is the 7th edition of the “Run for Fun” and the growth of the event has been most encouraging.

The starting point will again be from Kids of Africa located in Bwerenga (Wakiso District). Coming from Kampala, take the Entebbe Road to Kawuku (25 km). Objectives

Last year we raised approximately 80 million Ugandan Shillings which was used to complete the modern dental clinic at Kids of Africa.

This year’s objective is to raise 100 million Ugandan Shillings which will be used to construct 4 boreholes to cater for the water needs of the local community.
