The inaugural Kids and Teens Pageant Global Uganda was officially launched during a press event at Nsambya Gardens in Kampala on April 9, 2024. Spearheading the initiative is Doreen Namugenyi Bwgwanui, who emphasized the inclusion of both boys and girls in the pageant, aiming to address the historical neglect of the boy child in such platforms.
Highlighting the international scope of the pageant, Bwgwanui mentioned its successful run in other countries, notably Malaysia, where Ugandan Michela Amato emerged as the victor this year.
The primary objective of the pageant is to foster discipline among youngsters while nurturing their talents and boosting their confidence.
Auditions for the pageant are slated to take place on April 28, 2024, at the Golf Course Hotel in Kampala, providing aspiring young talents with a platform to showcase their skills and potential.
