A number of supporters of National Unity Platform (NUP) candidate for the Kawempe North by-election, Mr. Salim Sserunkuma, aka Mafu Mafu, have unanimously declared support to Independent candidate Hajjat Hanifah Karadi.
The supporters say they have crossed to Karadi’s camp because she identifies with the issues of the ordinary person in the area.
The latest development follows the recent overwhelming endorsement by independent candidates and earlier Muslim leaders in Kawempe who declared her their candidate.
Hajjat Hanifah Karadi popularly known as Maama Kawempe, is praised for connecting with the aspirations of the constituents and her understanding of their individual needs.
She has already shown effort through her Hanifah Karadi Foundation which has become a monther of the community in Kawempe particularly and Kampala Metropolitan in general. Watch the Space!!!
