Karitas Karisimbi, the Oprah Winfrey of Uganda, unpacking the stories behind the glow, every Sunday on NBS Television

Every now and then, everybody needs inspiration, the need to feel that they’re not alone in this thing called life. Sometimes, the world can just get a little bit too much to take. Whether it’s the big stuff that you see on the news or something more personal, life can be tough. Other times, it’s nothing more than waking up on the wrong side of the bed. And when you are feeling down, TV can be a fantastic way to escape from a bad day for a few hours, especially if the show itself centres on things getting better.

Seeing a favourite character overcoming the odds, finding true love, overcoming addiction, depression or making the world a better place is a great way to cheer yourself up. If they can do it, so can you!

Chatroom, a show that airs on NBS television centres on interviewing persons who have a positive story, persons who need help, persons who inspire others to give life a second chance, giving yourself a second chance. This gem of a show is a wonderful way to get happy, it’s one of the most inspiring, uplifting, and lighthearted shows to watch when the world leaves you in need of a pick-me-up. The biggest interview for me was Jackie Chandiru, she had me crying. Up until now, her story has never left my mind, I now see her in a different light.

Such a great show requires a superwoman and Karitas Karisimbi, the host for Chatroom is everything and more. Throughout her career, she’s given us 100% of her awesome expertise.

Chatroom airs on NBS Television every Sunday at 8:00 pm. Tune in, you’ll not regret it.
