As part of women’s day celebrations in Uganda, Airtel organised Women of Substance Awards to reward all successful women in different careers.

Phiona Mutesi walked away with the best sports personality.

To the shock of many, KCCA Executive Director, Jennifer Musisi, beat the Speaker of Parliament, Rt Hon Rebecca Kadaga together with Allen Kagina, URA Commissioner General to scoop the Public service award.

Anne Kansiime walked away with the arts and culture award.

Siima Sabiti took the best female media personality.

While Her Royal Highness Sylvia Nagginda, was awarded for her activities and encouragement in promotion of better health in the country.

She was selected the best women mentor of the year.Flavia Lwanga, the Airtel Human Resource Manager while handing over the awards, remarked that these awards where organised to appreciate all the ladies who have worked hard to develop the country.
