Ingyenzi Troupe: Confirmed and sealed set to perform at the first ever Global Cultural Event

Preparations for the first ever Global Cultural Event are gaining momentum after it has been confirmed that Ingyenzi Troupe will be perform at the do. The sizable group of youth from Rwanda will be among the performers at 13th August 2017 event at Uganda Museum.

They perform the dances of Rwanda, Burundi and selected dances of Western Uganda. The graceful movements of Ingyenzi’s women punctuated by high energetic drum dances from the men together form an interesting blend. Ingyenzi Troupe is also popular for their characteristic singing style commonly known as “Gono” in Luganda
The troupe has had over 5,000 performances since its establishment in 2000 and are a major force to reckon with. It’s a must watch!!!

The first ever cultural gala will be hosted by Mary Ingabire and organized under her label Mary Ingabire Global Events.

“Global Cultural Event 1st Edition at Uganda Museum on the 13th August 2017. Children 5k, Adults 10k, to get a stall is 500k, VIP Table is Shs1m and a Tent at Shs1.5m. Gates open at 10am-11pm,” Mary Ingabire said.
