Busoga Tourism, culture and Heritage Minister Hon. Hellen Namutamba has thanked the Muslim community in Bugiri for supporting the NRM Government especially President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni during recently concluded Presidential elections.
Speaking at the Iftar dinner on Sunday in Bugiri, Hon. Hellen Namutamba urged Muslims to avoid politics and religion of divisionism saying these will deter development in their community. She said if they avoid these, they will be able to benefit more in terms of development. “If there is togetherness, development thrives,” Hon. Hellen said.
In the same way she extended special appreciation from President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to Bugiri Muslims community upon the support rendered in 2026. She also extended appreciation from Rt. Hon. Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga for supporting the NRM in 2026 elections.
Hon. Hellen Namutamba wished the Muslim community a peaceful remaining days of the holy month of Ramadhan and urged Muslims to use and pray so tha the government delivers Industrial Park, Hospital, Market and Schools that is in plan for Bugiri District.
