Festivities are beginning across the globe as each country celebrates at different times and in its own way.
In Kampala, fireworks celebrations are expected at Sheraton Kampala Hotel, Kampala Serena Hotel, Hilton Aya Hotel, Golf Course Hotel, Namboole Stadium, Legends Bar Lugogo, Nexus Lounge Najjera, Trendz Lounge, Club Play Street Jam and several other hangouts and worship centres. Revellers are already in celebration mood as they say goodbye to 2016.
