Golden Age Elderly Homes Uganda, Maama Kisanja share meal with Elderly in Mulago & Katanga

The Member of Parliament (MP) for the elderly Central Region, Hon. Busingye Peninah Kalenge aka Maama Kisanja joined the Golden Age Elderly Homes Uganda to celebrate International Day for older persons.

The home looks after vulnerable elderly people and as part of celebrations to mark  International Day for Older persons which happens on 1st October every year, they chose to have a meal with the Elderly in Mulago and some from Katanga slums.

Veronica Akankunda of Golden Age Elderly Homes Uganda said the elderly needs to be looked after in a good way to avert them from dying quickly due to different diseases like pressure, diabetes and many others. She said that’s why the home was set up to do.

They also donated food relief, Beddings clothes, masks, sanitizers & mosquito nets to the elderly.

The MP for the elderly said all the issues affecting the older persons will be worked on.

She promised to follow up all the problems affecting the elderly and have them solved.
