Former staff members of NRM Secretariat are crying out for non payments of the work they did for 18 months but all in vain.
They have accused NRM Secretariat of using them for years and then dumping them without paying them for 18 months, leaving them helpless for life.
Sources say the above mentioned youths sought for justice in vain until one of them met with President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni at Nakasero state house and raised their complaint.
The President is said to have directed Hon. Dr. Chris Baryomunsi to handle the matter as a CEC member ( National Vice chairman in charge of Western region).
Hon. Baryomunsi then wrote to the NRM Secretary General Mr. Todwong Richard, but he since never given any response since April when the letter was sent him or to work on these disgruntled former staff/ cadres who worked and served at the Secretariat diligently.
However another source said in 2021, Mr. Todwong told them to forward their names through his office for payment but since then they have never been paid. “We don’t know what went wrong with the money that was meant to clear our payments,” one wondered.
The 35 former staffers are demanding UGX 378m in salary arrears.
