First Edition Of “Pride of the Pearl” Concert Launched

Renowned contemporary artists Kenneth Mugabi, Myko Ouma, and Ssewa Ssewa are poised to headline the highly anticipated inaugural edition of the Pride of the Pearl concert, set to enchant audiences at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel this July.

The Pride of the Pearl concert stands as a unique musical extravaganza celebrating Uganda’s vibrant cultural tapestry. Scheduled for July 7th, 2024, at the Sheraton Ball Room, the event promises a fusion of traditional and contemporary sounds, embodying the theme of Futuristic African Fusion.

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, organizers Soul Events Africa highlighted the concert’s mission to showcase Uganda’s diverse musical traditions through captivating performances and soul-stirring melodies.

Renowned guitarist and composer Myko Ouma pledges an exquisite showcase, promising an unforgettable experience for attendees.

Joining Ouma is Kenneth Mugabi, celebrated for his soulful vocals and acoustic melodies, known for hits like “Nkwegomba,” “Kibun’omu,” “Naki,” and “Under Wraps.”

Completing the trio, Ssewa Ssewa brings his mastery of the Janzi instrument to the stage, blending traditional Ugandan sounds with contemporary flair for an electrifying musical journey.

To ensure an exclusive and luxurious experience, only 30 tables are available for sale at Ugx5M per table, with single tickets also on offer at Ugx500k each.

The performances are scheduled to commence early and culminate just before midnight, promising an evening of unparalleled musical delight.
