    Ntinda: The 1st edition of the Jameson Hangout for 2025 concluded with a fun-filled experience at Ndere Cultural Center on Saturday evening. The successfully event was organized by Talent Africa Group in a stunning fashion saw hundreds of ‘youngen’ party lovers throng the place for the fun filled experience. This edition offered an unparalleled experience, creating a vibrant atmosphere where guests could bond and connect.

    As part of the Jameson Bond & Connect event series, the Jameson Hangout is a quarterly fest organized by Talent Africa Group. The event featured an exciting array of interactive games, trend-setting pop-up shops, captivating musical performances, and mouth-watering barbecue delicacies.

    Guests enjoyed complimentary services such as free haircuts, Jameson cocktails, and discounted tattoos, all paired with the finest Irish whiskey, Jameson.

    The highlight of the night was Kenneth Mugabi, who illuminated the stage clad in white, performing his hit songs including “Nkwegomba,” “Kibun’omu,” “Naki,” and “Sanyu.” He was joined by a stellar lineup of artists, including DJ Tony & Tukus, Mike Mungu, Prof Joewi & Black Wave Sound, City Girl/Rulz, Lynda Ddane, DJ Shawn & Yanny, DJ Bugy, as well as hosts Adele & Josh, and special performances by Adele featuring Prof Joewi and Josh MC with City Girl.

    The event will be headlined by the talented Kenneth Mugabi, joined on stage by an exciting lineup including Mike Mungu, DJ Bugy, Josh MC, Tukus, Professor Joewi, featuring The Black Wave Sounds, City Girl, DJ Tony, and Adele Kiele.

    Reflecting on the success of the last hangout, held on September 28th, 2024, which featured an incredible lineup including Alternate Sound, a Nigerian band, Irene Ntale, Beenie Gunter, and Shawn Maine, the excitement continues to build. The previous event also showcased performances from Denesi, along with Professor Joewi and The Black Wave Sounds, keeping the energy alive with DJs Kasbaby, Vanss, Tony, Viana Indi, Adele Kiele, Sean Preezy, and Lynda Ddane.

    Renowned contemporary artists Kenneth Mugabi, Myko Ouma, and Ssewa Ssewa are poised to headline the highly anticipated inaugural edition of the Pride of the Pearl concert, set to enchant audiences at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel this July.

    The Pride of the Pearl concert stands as a unique musical extravaganza celebrating Uganda’s vibrant cultural tapestry. Scheduled for July 7th, 2024, at the Sheraton Ball Room, the event promises a fusion of traditional and contemporary sounds, embodying the theme of Futuristic African Fusion.

    Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, organizers Soul Events Africa highlighted the concert’s mission to showcase Uganda’s diverse musical traditions through captivating performances and soul-stirring melodies.

    Renowned guitarist and composer Myko Ouma pledges an exquisite showcase, promising an unforgettable experience for attendees.

    Joining Ouma is Kenneth Mugabi, celebrated for his soulful vocals and acoustic melodies, known for hits like “Nkwegomba,” “Kibun’omu,” “Naki,” and “Under Wraps.”

    Completing the trio, Ssewa Ssewa brings his mastery of the Janzi instrument to the stage, blending traditional Ugandan sounds with contemporary flair for an electrifying musical journey.

    To ensure an exclusive and luxurious experience, only 30 tables are available for sale at Ugx5M per table, with single tickets also on offer at Ugx500k each.

    The performances are scheduled to commence early and culminate just before midnight, promising an evening of unparalleled musical delight.

    It was no ordinary night for lovers in the house who attended the vibrantly lit Valentines Special show with Janzi Band featuring Kenneth Mugabi and Sandra Suubiat Route 256.

    The love-themed nest had fans of live band music revelling to the harmonious tunes that only Janzi delivers effortlessly. They sang their hearts out with covers and renditions of popular love songs to warm up the lovers and friends who were snuggling in each other’s company.Many did not look like they wanted the night to end.

    Once guitar maestro, Kenneth Mugabi and songbird Sandra Suubi joined the Janzi on stage, the performance went up a notch higher with songs like Nkwegomba, Naki, Heaven and Faya. It was truly magical as the trio fed off the vibes they were receiving from the audience,who cheered them on and begged for more of the smooth music.

    The mix of jazz, reggae classic and soul music uniquely blended got many onto their feet grooving blissfully through the night.

    “Tonight has been a beautiful one. Janzi Band, Sandra Suubi and Kenneth Mugabi have made this a special Valentines celebration for everyone here. They kept it 100% real not forgetting their music, which was also fueled with 100% rhythm. Thank you once again,” said Cathy Twesigye, Tusker Malt Manager UBL, about JanziBand, who are popularly known for bringing the groove to all their shows.

    Live music specialist Kenneth Mugabi will entertain partiers with live music band performance with Spice Diana also to set to perform.
    MC Mr. Mosh will host the event with top DJs in town behind the decks.
    Entrance fee is 20k per head with a table at 300k.

    Singer, song writer Lillian Mbabazi is set to be the headlining act at this month’s Johnnie Walker Highball night dubbed live at Fezah that is slated to take placetomorrow Saturday September 28, at the Design Hub in Bugolobi.

    Her performance will be the first time the singer will be holding a solo show since 2015. The star of live band will be performing some of her hit like, “Daggala”, “love letter”, “Kawa”, “Vitamin” among others.

    The ‘Danger ’ hit maker will be part of the many stars that have graced the Fezah stage since the year  began coming in a few weeks after songstress Naava Grey threw a show stopping performance last month at her solo show.

    The other artists to perform at the show included Kenneth Mugabi, Cindy, Jackie Akello and Irene Ntale.

    Kampala: Best known and admired forhis melodic voice and a unique ability to tap into differentnarratives that relate to the “everyday Ugandan”, KennethMugabi last evening stamped his stature as one of the country’s finest artistes when he launched his “Ugandan” album at the Design Hub in Bugolobi.

    Mugabi, who uses his story telling techniques to craft beautiful music, showed why he has garnered such a passionate following with a launch performance that his fans will remember for a long time, not least for the surprise acts that the singer brought out on stage to help him deliver the songs they collaborated on for the new album. These included Lillian Mbabazi and Angela kalule, who took the celebration to the next level with Lillian not only performing her collaboration“Inkusubwabwa” with Kenneth but also performing her smash hit “Dagala” that sent the crowd into a frenzy.

    He also perfomed songs like “Ekigo“ a collaboration with Maureen,“Olugendo“ done with IreneNamubiru“Nkakwanye ntya“ an inspiration from a high school crash that he had and last but not least “Oliwa” all off his Ugandan album.

    “This album is a very special one to me in many ways than one; it helped me open myself to fresh ways of creating music hence tapping into a new audience base that I didn’t know I had. Thank you all for the support. I am more than grateful,” said Mugabi.

    Mugabi performed songs like “Naki“ and “Nkwegomba” a fan’s favourite that had show-goers humming along to ever word. The event that was sponsored by Johnnie Walker Highball was nothing short of fun as the cocktails kept coming throughout the night.

    Kampala: Lovers of Afro and soul music have a special treat coming on Saturday, June 29, 2019 when artiste Kenneth Mugabi launches thirteen new songs off his latest studio album titled “Ugandan” live at Fezah. The album launch will take place at Fezah’s home—the Design Hub in Bugolobi.

    With his gifted rich voice, stage presence and signature ‘endigidi’ (tube fiddle), Mugabi tells unique stories through his music, providing authentic sounds to his performances which rob hearts. His music is a refreshing addition to local music with ‘Naki’ being one of his fans’ favourites.

    Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, Mugabi said he could not wait to share his masterpiece with the world.

    “My new album is the is perfect especially for the new audience that I want to tap in. it contains 13 songs with collaboration from some of Uganda’s finest like Lillian Mbabazi, Irene Namubiru and many others I can’t wait to share it come June 29,” said Kenneth

    The soulful performer and story teller will also be performing some of his popular songs like Nambi, Carolina, Nubuka, Naki among others off his other hit album, Kibunomu that transports one into an enchanting world of storytelling through music.

    Afro soul artiste Kenneth Mugabi is set to thrill fans as he makes  his stage debut this year during the this month’s Johnnie Walker unplugged show that is slated for Saturday February 9, this weekend.

    The show is an intimate and up close experience of great Ugandan singers performing in a studio like setting.

    The event that will be happening throughout the year with 19 shows will feature the soulfulMugabi for its first edition taking place at Design Hub 5th street industrial area.

    Mugabi tells unique stories through his music. His gifted rich voice, stage presence and hissignature ‘endigidi’ (Ugandan tube fiddle) provide authentic sounds to all his performances that robs hearts.

    Mugabi’s music is a refreshing addition to localmusic with ‘Naki’ being one of his fans favorite. He creates content that resonates with middle –aged and older music fans. The soulful performer and story teller has several singles like Nambi, Carolina, Nubuka, Naki which all have a personal connection to his life.

    The show starts will be kicking off starting at 7pm.

    Tickets to the event are going for shs30,000 in advance and 50,000– at the door with VIP going for 100,000.
