Ellias Abaine Rukundo set to contest for Ruhaama County MP Seat

Latest info reaching our desk has it that Ellias Abaine Rukundo has finalised plans to contest for vacant Ruhaama County Member of Parliament (MP)seat. The constituency located in Ntungamo district’s seat fell vacant after the death of the former MP Beijukye William Zinkuratire last month.

Now Abeine, who once contested for the same seat in the past, is back again to replace the deceased. He told this website that he has already finalised his manifesto and campaign plans. Rukundo intimated to us that he is standing on an independent ticket and will soon launch his campaign officially.

“My plans are in final stages and soon i will officially announce my candidature and manifesto. I call upon the people of Ruhaama to support me. We are the fresh and young blood that people need,” Abeine said.

Who is Elias Abaine Rukundo?

Rukundo was born in 1981 to Mr. Enoth R. Tabaine of Rweikiniro of Ruhaama, Ntungamo district.

He studied at Muntuyera High School Kitunga and then Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) where he served as a Production Affairs Minister, Finance Minister, Chairman Development Studies Association, and Chairman Mbarara University Ntungamo Students Association.

He has professionally worked with a number of Organisations in Uganda, Kenya, Bangladesh and United Kingdom.

Abaine also holds a Masters of Science degree from University College London, lectured at Kyambogo University, and is currently running a private Consultancy Company called Rukundo Associates.
